Hashem is my healer, I shall be healed

אֲנִי יְהוָה, רֹפְאֶךָ
Ani Hashem rofecha (Shemot (Exodus) 15:26 )

I dedicate this article to any of you who might be struggling with temporary or chronic sickness. Never ever lose hope. Scriptures proclaim that the Lord is your healer.
Hashem doesn't take pleasure in a person's sickness. It is His will for you to be cured.
You may object: "Why am I not healed, then?"
If He doesn't cure you straight away,  He has good reasons. Trust Him. Do not be discouraged.

Also be conscious that some underlying reasons may prevent your healing.

  • Are you obedient to His Will? The verse above often gets quoted without the words that precede. Have you taken time to read the FULL VERSE?
and He said: " if you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and will do what is right in His eyes, and will give ear to His Commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put NONE of the diseases upon you, which I have put upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord who heals you."

-are you keen on receiving Hashem's instruction?
-are you doing what is right in His eyes or are you just doing " what you want"?
-do you give ear to His Commandments ( Shema, listen!) and do you keep his statutes?

Are you doing your best to please Hashem?

If you are doing your best to put the full verse into application, His promise to you is that you will be spared diseases that were put upon the Egyptians. Hashem clearly promises you HEALING.

  • do you have faith?
I am not speaking of theoretical faith here. DO YOU BELIEVE THAT THE ALMIGHTY CAN HEAL YOU?

If your Emunah ( faith) is complete, then you have great chances to be healed.
It is always done according ( and not independently to it) to your faith.

Then you will be able to state prophet Jeremiah's prayer ( Jeremiah 17:14)

"Heal me, o Lord, and I shall be healed; save me and I shall be saved, for you are my praise."

 רְפָאֵנִי יְהוָה וְאֵרָפֵא, הוֹשִׁיעֵנִי וְאִוָּשֵׁעָה:  כִּי תְהִלָּתִי, אָתָּה

  • have your welcomed Yeshua our Messiah in your life?

Isaiah 53:5

"But he was wounded because of our transgressions, he was crushed because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our welfare was upon him, and with his stripes we were healed."

Do you know Him personally ( knowing Him " figuratively, through a verse" is NOT knowing Him!)? I mean, has Yeshua encountered your path for real?
Have you made your Teshuva ( repentance) before Him and accepted Him as your Lord and Savior?

                       Is Yeshua your PERSONAL friend?

If so, Scriptures are telling you that you are HEALED by His stripes ( Isaiah 53:5). This too, is not just a figure of speech. It is a clear promise of healing!

  • are you GRATEFUL?

"On his way to Yerushalayim, he was passing between Shomron ( Samaria) and the Galil. As he came to a certain village, ten metsora'im ( lepers) came to greet him.
They stood at a distance. They lifted their voice and called: "Yeshua! Teacher! Be gracious to us!"
He said to them: "Go be shown to the priests." When they went, they were purified.

When one of them saw that he was healed, he returned and praised God  with a loud voice. He fell on his face and thanked him. He was a Shomroni ( Samaritan). Yeshua responded and said: "Were not ten purified? Where are the other nine? Was not anyone found that would return to give glory to God, except for this foreigner.
He said to him: "Arise and go. Your faith has saved you."

Luke 17:11-19 Delitzsch Hebrew Gospels

The gratitude your have in your heart prior and post healing will make the whole difference.
Approach Yeshua with a grateful heart!
Our Lord is the same. He will restore your health at the perfect time. Keep bringing your petitions before the Heavenly throne. Never doubt His love for you.

If your healing doesn't happen straight away, it doesn't mean that you will always be sick. There are reasons for the delay. Trust His wisdom.

May Yeshua grant you ALL refuah schlema ( complete healing). Amen.
